I am only a summer resident in the area, and I have just learned about the situation. I would like to support a petition that would oppose the proposal. Is there any way I can do this via internet or email? Could I email Scott and have him sign by proxy? I agree with Grant, plan B needs to be looked at carefully, I also agree with the real safety issues the trucks would present, not to mention noise debris and dust (they tend to move over to the shoulder and stir things up)

If the logging company is successfully blocked from using the road through Restoule, what alternative route might they use? I think it is important to give thought to this, as I doubt they would simply accept no access to the timber - we need to be sure that their "plan B" isn't worse.

Is it true that logging companies often disrespect the areas they work in? I heard that they often log areas adjacent to the ones that they have permits to log in. Who polices the logging companies and who holds them accountable if they overstep their boundries?
